Chosen by Eurimages, FNC will present the Audentia Award in 2021

After a successful online edition, despite the constraints of the current global pandemic, the FNC is pleased to announce that the Festival has been chosen by the European organization Eurimages to present the Audentia Award next year.

"We are very happy that the 40 members of Eurimages have accepted the nomination of the Montreal Festival du nouveau cinéma to present in 2021 this prestigious award which recognizes and rewards the importance of the place of women in our industry. It is a great honor for us, for Montreal, for Quebec and for Canada, but also a great recognition of the work we are doing towards parity and inclusion. »- Nicolas Girard Deltruc, FNC Executive Director

Advocating for gender parity and equality in the film industry, this award is presented once a year at an international festival chosen especially for the occasion. The award has been presented in the past at prestigious festivals such as TIFF or Locarno.
